摘要:In this seminar we discuss the neutrino scattering in the few GeV region, its importance in measuring neutrino oscillations as neutrino oscillation experiments depend critically on an accurate model of neutrino interactions detection techniques. In addition we will discuss the fact that neutrinos can also serve as unique probes of the nucleus itself. Finally we review current experiments and we summarize recent results on the few GeV region.
报告人简介: Aaron Higuera received his Ph.D. degree from University of Guanajuato (Mexico) in 2014. He worked as a research associate in the University of Rochester (U.S.A.) for half an year after his graduation. Now he continues to be a postdoctoral research associate in the University of Houston (U.S.A.). He is current involved in several neutrino experiments, such as Daya Bay, CAPTAIN and LBNE.
Aaron Higuera is an expert on neutrino physics, especially on neutrino interaction cross-section and coherent pion production. He has been working on the MINERvA experiment at Fermilab (U.S.A.) since 2007. He led the charged-current coherent pion production analysis, which was published in Physical Review Letters. In the Daya Bay collaboration, Dr. Higuera is currently working on the neutrino Lorentz violation new physics topic.
